They both lay on the cool grass, staring at the stars that made the night magnificent for them. She lay in the curve of his arm, her head on his shoulder. His warm breath on her forehead, somehow, comforted her. She put her hand on his chest, feeling his heart beat beneath her delicate touch. He ran his hand through her hair, removing the strands that were on her face and tucking them behind her ear.
The night shone for them like a diamond, catching a ray of light. It whispered to them, through the 'whooshing' leaves. Even the sound of crickets was a bliss for them.
He moved a little to gain her attention.
"Have you ever wondered what heaven looks like?"
She sighed, and her head replaced her hand and she listened to his steady heartbeat. She hugged him tightly and whispered:
"I think I have an idea..."
